This is a great spec little laptop that will come with 8GB Ram and a 256GB SSD hard drive which is up-gradable to 16GB Ram and 2TB respectively for additional cost. Actual laptop you'll receive will be either an X240 or an X250 i3. Both are functionally virtually the same.

Why Linux?
Most laptop or desktop computers come loaded with either Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS preinstalled as the operating system (OS). Both of these operating systems have contact tracing built in to the OS. This means that your computer is watching you everywhere you go. While we won’t get into all of the things that Microsoft, Google, and Apple OS’s are capable of from a surveillance perspective, the same rule applies to them all.
It doesn’t matter how much security software you install on them. If the OS is manufactured by Microsoft, Google, or Apple, your OS is spying on you.
The bottom line, you ask? You MUST stop using all of their products as soon as possible. It is time to move to Linux.
What's it like using Linux?
We install the latest version of Linux Mint on our PC's and laptops - Cinnamon Edition. This is easiest Linux OS to get used to as it functions just like Windows.

What are the specs of this machine?
The laptop will come with 8GB Ram and a 256GB SSD hard drive which can be updraded to 16GB Ram and 512GB at an extra cost.

Added Encryption
An option with our Linux machines is to opt for an additional layer of security in the form of encryption that is not enabled by default.
This ensures that your hard drive is protected from having any data stolen without your knowledge if the laptop was to end up in the wrong hands or be confiscated.
Please note: This additional layer of encryption is quite harsh. It is designed for those who want their laptop locked down from any unwanted intrusion. If you enter this password incorrectly 3 times, your machine may lock up permentantly.
Keep in mind, if you forget this password or the machine malfunctions permenantly, this also means you may not be able to recover the data. So, if you opt for this option, make regular back-ups of your data.
**Important note: After you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email. If you opt for extra encryption, please reply to the confirmation email and let us know what you would like your password to be. With this additional layer of protection, your machine will request 2 passwords from you; the first to access the hard drive, which cannot be changed, and the second to login.

What condition is this laptop in?
We work hard to ensure we always source the highest quality PCs and laptops that are in great condition from reputable refurbishing specialists.
Generally, these X250's are clean machines. Just please purchase with the knowledge that, although we strive for excellent condition, they are not new machines and some will have minor use marks and sometimes minor shine on the keys and trackpads.

What is the lead time?
These X250's are usually well stocked and, at the moment, are generally turned around and shipped within 3 days.
Due to high demand, we can have up to a 1 to 2 week lead time on Linux machines. Please be patient with us if this is your experience, we are only a small team, and we will endeavour to fulfil your order as fast as possible.
