You also have the option of opting for GrapheneOS as your operating system on this phone instead of our usual go-to; eOS. GrapheneOS is a highly advanced operating system only developed for Google Pixel phones, and although we love Lineage, we do consider GrapheneOS superior in its level of security.
When will I receive my device?
A Degoogled device is a bespoke, 'made to measure' item meaning that we build each phone to suit your individual needs. This takes a little care and time.
We are a small team and prefer quality over speed so at busy times there may be up to a 2 week delay so please be patient with us as we endeavour to fulfill your order as fast as possible.

The Sandboxing feature of GrapheneOS
Some people prefer GrapheneOS because of it's ability to offer "sandboxing". This is where you create an isolated environment to run apps that you don't want to have access to any data or permissions outside of the sandbox on the phone. This Enables you to continue using apps that are invasive to privacy.
Bespoke App Install Service
Many apps, especially banking apps, rely heavily on Google Play Services to function correctly.With GrapheneOS, we are given an opportunity to use big brother style apps (apps that track us and ask for intrusive permissions) and use them in a locked down state.
We are happy to pre-install up to 10 apps that you simply cannot do without, think WhatsApp, HSBC bank etc on your new DeGoogled phone, HOWEVER, we would like to stress that the simple act of having an account with these types of services is in no way private or secure.
We can install these apps into a 'Work' profile on your phone that has a heavily sandboxed (restricted) environment for them to run.
They will have limited permissions and will not be able to pry on the personal side of your device. If you choose this option, your phone will come with Google Play Services installed inside this sandbox in your work profile.
We at Activists Toolbox highly suggest eliminating these services from your digital life entirely, deleting your accounts and removing your personal details via a lawful GDPR request to be fully DeGoogled.
Please note: We are not able to verify to what extent this sandboxing feature remains secure and would advise anyone deeply conscious about their privacy to not fully rely on this feature.
What apps can I install on my DeGoogled phone?
It's important to understand that your De-Googled phone has been stripped of the software that has the ability to spy on you or intrude on your privacy. This means Apps like WhatsApp, Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram are not present on a DeGoogled phone, nor should they be added to one.
Although you can add any Android compatible apps to this phone, understand you start to compromise your privacy again if you start adding mainstream apps loaded with trackers.
With this in mind, we do include 4 privacy apps that still allow you to interact with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit without needing the official app.
What condition is this phone in?
For these Pixel 6 Degoogled phones, we utilise refurbished phones.
With our refurbished phones, we work hard to ensure we always source the highest quality phones that are Grade A or better condition, from reputable refurbishing specialists.
Although we strive for as close to perfect as we can source in any given moment, they are not brand-new phones and some phones will have minor use marks and will not always come with the original box and all of the accessories.
They will always come with at least a charging cable.

These DeGoogled operating systems are crafted by a group of privacy-conscious developers. It's important to note that as free, open-source software, it may not have the same level of refinement and seamless operation as operating systems developed by big tech companies such as Samsung.
They usually operate seamlessly and are as highly functional and dependable as you would expect, but we kindly request that you keep this in mind when purchasing your device, as there is a slight possibility that the software may, on very rare occasions, encounter minor glitches.
While these issues are rare and unlikely to cause any significant inconvenience, they may appear somewhat unpolished if they happen.
