Why Linux? Most laptop or desktop computers come loaded with either Microsoft Windows or Apple macOS preinstalled as the operating system (OS). Both of these operating systems have contact tracing built in to the OS. This means that your computer is watching you everywhere you go. While I won’t get into all of the things that Microsoft, Google, and Apple OS’s are capable of from a surveillance perspective, the same rule applies to them all. It doesn’t matter how much security software you install on them. If the OS is manufactured by Microsoft, Google, or Apple, your OS is spying on you.
The bottom line, you ask? You MUST stop using all of their products as soon as possible. It is time to move to Linux.
What's it like using Linux? We install Linux Mint on our laptops - Cinnamon version. This is easiest Linux OS to get used to as it functions just like Windows.

This is our premium spec Lenovo ThinkPad T480/T480s or our Lenovo Thinkpad T490/T490s The selected laptop will come from our available stock, and comes with a minimum of 16GB Ram up to 24GB RAM.

Keep in mind the specs in this link are general specs - As we source our laptops from professional refurb companies, the additional factory options each laptop comes with will vary. For example, some will come with a fingerprint scanner and a backlit keyboard, some won't.
Security All of our Linux machines come with an additional layer of security in the form of encryption that is not enabled by default. This ensures that your hard drive is protected from having any data stolen without your knowledge if the laptop was to end up in the wrong hands or be confiscated. Upon start up, your machine will ask you for a password to gain access to the hard drive.
**Important note: After you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email, please reply to this email and let us know what you would like your password to be. With this additional layer of protection, your machine will request 2 passwords from you; the first to access the hard drive and the second to login. You can also let us know if you would prefer to receive your machine without the additional security layer added.
Condition We work hard to ensure we always source the highest quality Laptops that are Grade A/B condition from our reputable refurbishing specialists. However, these laptops are for people who prioritise privacy over perfection as we cannot guarantee perfection.
Although we strive for excellent condition, they are not new laptops and may come with minor use marks and will not come with the original box
